PRESIDENT’S ANNUAL REPORT 1973
Once again I have much pleasure in presenting to you my Annual Report for the year 1973.
This season the number of registered players in our Association has been consistent with previous seasons, this year the total number of players registered being 382, an increase of eight players.
Our 1973 season has once again been very successful. Teams from our Council won a total of three Premierships.
The successful teams were Under 18 South Bunbury, who completed the season undefeated under the coaching and guidance of Sid Simeon and Maurie Maher. This is an achievement the coaches and players can be justly proud of.
The South Bunbury Under 14 also gained a well earned pennant, coached by Ken Rees.
The Under 12 premiership was once again won by Marist under the leadership of their new coach Bro. Vincent.
My appreciation and thanks go to all coaches and managers for their untiring assistance throughout the season.
This season saw the introduction of the under 10 competition, in which our “little” footballers aquitted themselves well, their keeness would be an inspiration to any league side.
Social matches with city teams this year were few mainly due to the unfortunate clash of fixtures between the respective clubs from the City and our local teams.
I wish to thank South Bunbury League Club for their support and assistance in supplying us with football jumpers and footballs and guidance throughout the season
L. E. PASS, President.
